Need to Turn Off the New Labtech 11 Agent Interface? Here's How.
We were recently working with a client that presented a real world scenario in which it may make sense to disable to new agent interface in Labtech 11. Some want to disable it just because they do not like it, however if you are remoting into a workstation to use Labtech, the new more graphic intensive interface could present challenges. As of now, it is possible to disable the new interface using 2 different methods:
Method 1: Open an agent to old interface one time.
This is rather easily achieved. If you hold the shift key on your keyboard while double clicking an agent to open it, the old interface will open as opposed to the new one.
Method 2: Disable the new interface entirely
This can also be done easily but disables the new interface entirely for all users.
- Open the Dashboard
- Navigate to Config\ Configurations\ Properties
- Add the following value " UseNewComputerScreen" and set the value to "false". Click the add button and reload the DBAgent.
After closing and reopening your client you will find that Labtech now Defaults to the new Interface.
